Dieses Produkt beseitigt sofort sowohl aus Süßwasser, als auch aus Salzwasser Chlor, Chloramin und Ammoniak.
Sollte man, aus verschiedensten Gründen, vor dem Wasseraustausch für die Salzlösung Leitungswasser verwenden, lohnt es sich, im zuständigen Wasserwerk festzustellen, ob und wie viel Chlor, resp. Chloramin im Leitungswasser beinhaltet ist - es handelt sich um eine öffentliche Angabe, die auf Nachfrage mitgeteilt wird. Laut erhaltenen Angaben ist dann die Dosiermenge für das Beckenvolumen festzustellen.
Die Verabreichung hat, zum primären Ziel Ammoniak, das durch Überfütterung oder das Absterben von Lebewesen im Becken entstanden ist, zu entfernen. Das Ammoniak ist in der Kette AMMONIAK - NITRIT - NITRAT das am heftigsten wirkende Gift, und in oben genannten Fällen sollte man mit der Anwendung von diesem Produkt nicht zögern.
Dieses Produkt lässt sich auch vorteilhaft bei Importen verwenden, und wird direkt nach dem Öffnen der Lieferung ins Wasser der Transportbeutel, wo Ammoniak fast immer in messbarer Konzentration vorhanden ist, zugegeben.
